A BATTLE AGAINST CANCER

‘Silver lining’

Ink + acrylic

The loss of hair is probably the most distinguishable effect cancer brings.

At the beginning I was sad, for I was too focused on the pain and physical change my body was going through, but then I was reminded of Revelations 21:4“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

I therefor understood that the old had to leave my body to make room for the new.

So, I chose to focus on the growth instead of the decay, the rise instead of the fall, life instead of death.

If we want to be reborn, if we want to change, our old self must first die so that we can come back to life stronger than ever. What we sow does not come life unless it dies.
