I then started chemotherapy.
At the beginning I was nervous and scared, for I had heard stories from other patients and the one constant was that it was a very difficult journey.
However, by having the love and support from people in my life such as, friends, family, and the medical team, doubt and fear began to turn into peace, trust and faith. Like it says in John 14:27 ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.’
And so I chose to embrace the treatment, to let go and not only trust the medicine but also God. Even if I became physically weak from the treatment, my faith became stronger.
